About Asheville Jerseys
Due to rising manufacturing costs, AshevilleJerseys will not be re-ordering any more jerseys. We have just a handful left, mostly women’s sizes. Please email before ordering a jersey, to make sure we still have one in your size. All jerseys remaining are now $50
Asheville Jerseys was founded in the fall of 2014 for a simple reason – Nancy Fitzpatrick, owner, and an avid road (and occasional mountain) cyclist for 30+ years, wanted to add an Asheville-based cycling jersey to her collection. After all, cyclists buy jerseys like women buy shoes. She couldn’t find one, so she set about getting one made!
Besides being a bike-friendly area, Asheville, NC is very proud of its status as one of the largest craft brewery cities in the nation, with 20 active breweries, and more starting up every year. What better “marriage” of the two things – biking and breweries- than to make a jersey depicting both. After all, cyclists love their beer at the end of a long, hot ride!
So Nancy, with permission from 14 breweries to use their logo, set about finding a manufacturing company (VergeSport) to make the jersey, and graphic artist (Andrew Kinnear, of Kinnear Design Ltd, in Asheville) to design the jersey and this website.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the jerseys goes to Asheville Parks and Greenways Foundation, a non-profit group that is making safer pathways and trails for cyclists in the greater Asheville area.
We are all proud to bring you these finished jerseys, as well as the “Bike Chain” Jewelry. Enjoy them, be safe on the roads, and drink responsibly!
